Christmas in September? Really? Really!

Yes really.  This Saturday, I'm participating in an Arts & Crafts Fair  with other local artists in Evanston.  I've been working on some pieces for it including several Christmas & holiday trees made from recycled book pages.  Aren't they adorable?  Come see them, and other recycled book page items, in person from 2-6pm this Saturday (address below).

Fall is round the corner and that means...

only four months until the holidays!  I hear the boos, hisses, and "oh mys."  I agree.  I'm already thinking I'm not ready.  But we always manage, right?

We'll I'm here to start you off on the right foot.  On Sept. 6, I'll be at a new craft fair.  Full details are here:  Art & Craft Show.

My theme will be book page art.  So you know I have to preview some of the items I'll have there.

Stop by and then head to one of the many fabulous restaurants in Evanston.  Enjoy!

Craft Fair #3

Later this month, we are participating in the craft fair (where I work) for the third time. This time with a renewed vigor! They are publicizing it to more people in the area than just the building tenants. It will be in the lower level of One Rotary Center (1560 Sherman Ave Evanston IL) fromj 9-3pm on 18 November.

We are both really excited about it and cannot wait to show off everything we've made this year. Sue has made some truly outstanding clutches that I am sure will be extremely popular. I've been busy making journals, including a new "large" journal.

So the focus is now getting ready for it (and has been for the past few weeks)!

Let the holiday shopping begin...

New Items and Craft Fair

Yesterday was a fantastic day! We were part of a small craft fair (same one as last year). Sue couldn't join me as she had to work at the "real" job but I represented both of us. I admit I did call her around 5 times to check in and verify prices and custom work and such. We were in a new location and traffic wasn't as good but we had a lot of interest ultimately. Several people asked about making custom items for them and that always exites us!

Thanks to all of you who stopped by and/or bought things or expressed interest in custom items. We appreciate the compliments and interest!

Among the things we have available are beautiful recycled clutches, handmade travel journals, art quilt wallhangings and more! (See photos below or in the gallery.)

A couple photos of the items we had at the fair yesterday are here:
